With four years of experience as a housekeeper at the renowned Battambang Resort, Ms. Pisey has a professional background in making guests feel comfortable and well-cared for. While she speaks a little English, her genuine smile and hospitality transcend any language barrier.

Her garden is a tropical oasis, lush with mango trees, bananas, and coconuts. It is here, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Cambodian countryside, that she runs her welcoming homestay. Ms. Pisey loves sharing her knowledge of local flavors through her authentic cooking classes, offering guests a true taste of rural life.

Meet Ms. Dary: Your Culinary Host in Siem Reap

Ms. Dary is the proud mother of two boys, living in the peaceful southern outskirts of Siem Reap with her husband. , He is a tour guide. Just a few years before the pandemic, they realized their dream by building their family home in this traditional neighborhood. There are still  old wooden farmhouses in the street.

With a professional background in the hotel industry, Dary brings a wealth of expertise to the kitchen. It was there that she mastered the art of traditional Khmer noodles and developed her deep knowledge of Cambodian flavors. We are thrilled to feature her as our first host in Siem Reap offering a full vegetarian experience (on request).

Dary is a passionate gardener; her home is surrounded by lush greenery where she grows her own vegetables and fresh herbs. In her spare time, she’s always tending to her plants—keep an eye out for her latest project: homegrown strawberries! Joining Dary means stepping into a real family home, sharing stories, and tasting the freshest ingredients Siem Reap has to offer.

Ms Sokvy – Tradition and Transition in Siem Reap

Located on the quiet outskirts of Siem Reap, Ms. Sokvy’s home tells the story of a changing Cambodia. While more houses have been built in her neighborhood recently, the traditional way of life remains. Sokvy is a full-time housewife and don’t speak english but with decades of experience in perfecting Khmer traditional recipes. Together with her neighbors, she still grows fresh vegetables in her garden, and depending on the season, you can still catch a glimpse of the nearby rice fields. Even though she doesn’t speak English, she ensures that all her guests feel completely at home, while her husband or son helps bridge the conversation. They speak some English. This is true Cambodian hospitality at its finest

Ms. Kanika – Regional food of Cambodias north-east

Kanika grew up in the north-eastern town of Stueng Treng, not far from the border with Laos. She runs a restaurant together with her German husband. While some guests are tourists, she mostly serves locals with her food from the north-east of Cambodia. As our guest you will be able to enter the kitchen. The market is just a few hundred meters away, and she buys the ingredients every day fresh from there.

Naysim and her family own a silk producing and weaving business as well as a fruit farm. You will take a tuk tuk and the ferry to come here from downtown its about 30 minutes, but it’s a beautiful scenery on the way. If you want, take your bicycle with you and explore the surroundings. Best time for this experience is for lunch.

Nue Thai – Simple life of a family in Siem Reap

If you are looking for a true, off-the-beaten-path experience, Nue Thai and her family welcome you with open arms. They live in a charming, traditional wooden house located on a quiet red-dirt road in rural Siem Reap. Thai lives here with her husband, a local tuk-tuk driver, and their two daughters.

For Thai, this is more than just a meal; it is her window to the world. Having been a housewife all her life, this is her way to interact with international guests and support her family. While she doesn’t speak English, her radiant smile and warm hospitality transcend any language barrier.
