The concept of organic farming in Cambodia is still new. But our host Panha believes in healthy food and a sustainable production. She will take you around her large garden in Battambang. Later you can help her prepare the Khmer food with the organic vegetables from Battambang.

Organic farming and gardening has become more popular in Cambodia in recent years. Some farms are already recognized by the EU so they can easily export their products into one of the worlds largest markets. There is even a Khmer Organic Cooperative. where Cambodian farmers learn more about this way of sustainable farming.They also started delivery of their products in Phnom Penh.

Enjoy healthy food with the locals

Products from farms are sold on local markets, but also in supermarkets, mainly in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The demand for healthy food is getting bigger. There is is some believe, imported food from Vietnam and China isn’t as good as it looks like. That’s the chance for farmers like Panha.
